You've got people, payroll and a handbook somebody downloaded in 2019. You're probably fine. But "probably" is doing a lot of work in that sentence.
An HR audit is a look under the hood of how you hire, pay, manage and let people go. I go through your paperwork, policies and practices the way an agency investigator or an employee's attorney would. Then I tell you in plain English what's solid, what's risky, and what to fix first. It's not a gotcha audit. It's how you stop wondering.

An HR audit is a review of your employment paperwork, policies and day-to-day practices against federal and state law, done before a problem forces the issue. For a small business, it answers one question: if an employee filed a complaint tomorrow, what would someone find? Latitude HR Group's audits cover the states you actually operate in, including Kentucky and Indiana.
Owners, CFOs and office managers of businesses with roughly 10 to 250 employees who handle HR on top of their real job. That's especially you if:
An HR audit with Latitude HR Group takes 2–4 weeks from the time you upload documents.
Federal law sets the floor, and many small businesses assume it's the only rule. It isn't. Federal anti-discrimination law (Title VII) applies at 15 employees. Kentucky's applies at 8 employees for most claims. Indiana's applies at 6. A 10-person shop in Shelbyville or New Albany is covered by state law, even if it's "too small" for federal. Every audit checks the states you actually operate in.
General HR guidance, not legal advice. When something needs an employment attorney, I'll tell you.
The audit is a flat project fee, not hourly, so you know the number before we start. Price depends on your headcount and how many states you operate in. Call (502) 655-4778 for a quote.
We're only 12 people. Do we really need an HR audit? Yes, maybe more than a 200-person company does. You likely don't have anyone whose job is catching this stuff, and Kentucky and Indiana law already apply to you.
Will you report us to anyone? No. The audit is for you, and it stays with you.
What if you find a big problem? Then you'll know about it before an agency or an attorney does, and you'll have a plan. If it needs an employment attorney, I'll tell you that too.
How long does an HR audit take? Typically, 2–4 weeks from the time your documents are uploaded, including the walk-through meeting.
How much does an HR audit cost? It's a flat fee based on headcount and the number of states you operate in. Call (502) 655-4778 for a quote.
Do you work outside Louisville? Yes. I'm based in Shelbyville, KY, and work across the Louisville area and Southern Indiana, plus clients nationwide.

The good news? It’s preventable.
